About the role

This open position is in a highly behavioral residential home setting. We are seeking candidates with experience working with behavioral individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can.
  • Supporting daily activities such as household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc...
  • Aiding in medical appointments, banking, community involvement, outings, medication administration, following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and medical guidelines.
  • Maintaining certifications, adhering to agency policies, and complying with DDS regulations/policies.
  • Safely evacuating individuals from the home in case of emergencies.

Requirements

  • Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
  • Variety of interests and personal connections in the local community.
  • Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history).
  • Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.
  • Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed above, and ability to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Pay

$17.50 - 19.00 (Paid Training!)

Schedule

Part Time: 24 Hours
