About the role

The open position is in a highly behavioral residential home setting. We are seeking candidates with experience working with behavioral individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can
  • Supporting with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc...
  • Aiding them to their medical appointments, banking, becoming active members of their community, attending outings, administering medications, following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and adhering to medical guidelines
  • Providing paid New Employee Orientation, CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP) training
  • Maintaining certifications, complying with Agency policies, and following DDS regulations/policies
  • Safely evacuating individuals from the home in case of an emergency

Requirements

  • Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives
  • Variety of interests and personal connections in the local community
  • Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history)
  • Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team
  • Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed above, and ability to perform essential functions of the job
  • Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing skills

Pay

$17.50 - 19.00 (Paid Training!)

Schedule

Sun 8a-4p, Mon 2p-10p, Fri 2p-10, Sat 2p-10p
Part Time: 32 Hours
