Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or direction of a licensed healthcare professional.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates patient care with other departments
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality
- Ensures professional accountability for assigned patients
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience
- Current LPN licensure in the state
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
- Pediatric Assessment (PEARS)
- S.T.A.B.L.E.
- LPN-IV certification
- Other unit-specific certifications as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Perform tasks requiring gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
