ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, organizes, coordinates and manages personnel and activities to ensure effective and efficient processing, shipping, storage, and issuance of materials while continuously striving for improvement in all materials processes.
- Maintains all inventories, components, finished goods to ensure accuracy of the inventory.
- Supervises physical inventory in multiple warehouses.
- Responsible for the logistics of transporting materials from various facilities and suppliers.
- Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates, their performance, and their personal and professional growth.
- Assures that established policy, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
- Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees and safety.
- Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment including good housekeeping (i.e.5S).
- Interfaces with other divisions and operations to ensure timely and accurate receipt and issuance of all material.
- Coordinates the timely, accurate, damage-free shipments of all products.
- Operates a forklift.
- Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the QS 9000 and MMOG systems.
- Responsible for ensuring budgetary goals are accomplished.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred.
- Five years’ experience in a multi-warehouse environment with warehousing experiencing in large warehouses (100,000 sf or larger).
- International import experience required.
- Experience with laying out warehouses for maximum efficiencies.
- Experience in selecting appropriate storage solutions and material handling equipment.
- Must have Lean manufacturing experience to ensure efficient delivery of product to operations.
