2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Provides direction, leadership, and management for the Olathe Distribution Center, including creation and execution of operational processes to meet business objectives and goals. Serves as the department head for Inbound Operations, collaborating with leaders across the organization to meet distribution and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver short and long-term projects that support the business strategy
• Ensure that product is picked, checked, and shipped according to established standards and in accordance with current procedures
• Ensure productivity and quality standards are met
• Determine work procedures, prepare and expedite workflow, assign duties, and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
• Ensure crew members have the appropriate equipment and tools necessary to perform their jobs

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of work experience in distribution, performing a substantially similar role
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience in supervising, selecting, coaching, mentoring, and training staff
• Experience and/or training in identifying, developing, and reporting operations/distribution-related metrics
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school OR a minimum of two years’ work experience performing a substantially similar role

Physical Demands

You must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. This role requires:

• Frequent standing and walking, repetitive motion, and use of hands and arms for reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, and pulling from floor to overhead
• Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching; occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing
• Lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds regularly, up to 40 pounds frequently, and over 50 pounds occasionally
• Team lifting or material handling equipment required for items over 50 pounds
