The Role At a Glance

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for a combination of hands-on sanitation needs for the entire facility, as well as leadership of a small sanitation team of 10-15 employees. The position involves the development and implementation of the highest level of sanitation practices, while closely following GMPs, safety standards, and HACCP requirements.

  • Deliver the highest quality product while upholding our unwavering commitment to animal welfare, food safety, and responsible farming.
  • Act boldly, embrace continuous improvement, and partner with teammates and customers to deliver wins.
  • Inspire and lead a small sanitation team in any specific needs of the facility.
  • Comply with all food safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and process efficiencies.
  • Report any food safety issues to any Plant Manager.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures per safety training.
  • Complete all daily sanitation logs.
  • Absolutely ensure all cleaning supplies and tools are put away at the end of each shift.
  • Absolutely assist co-workers as needed.
  • Comply with Food Safety and GMP requirements at all times.
  • Report any issues or non-conformances related to quality assurance or food safety immediately to the Quality Assurance Supervisor or departmental supervisor/manager for communication with the Quality Assurance Manager.

What You’ll Bring To The Flock

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • 3+ Experience in a processing environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
  • Superior interpersonal, relationship building, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven decision-making and judgment skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Extended periods of up to 12 to 14 hours of standing and walking.
  • Frequent repetitive reaching motion with both arms.
  • Frequent grasping with hands and fingers.
  • Frequent bending and stooping.
  • Ability to keep up in fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule & Hours

  • Monday through Friday.
  • Shifts up to 8 - 12 hours per day, based on operational needs.
  • Typical start time: 4:00 PM.
  • Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes.
  • Flexibility required to adjust schedule as needed.

Salary Description
