Responsibilities
- Perform effective and efficient machine set-ups to ensure accurate and timely changeovers.
- Program, troubleshoot, maintain programs, and create backups for Yaskawa robots.
- Set up and operate cross wire resistance welding equipment, including Press-type, multi-Head type, and Spot Weld type resistance welders.
- Troubleshoot resistance welding issues by analyzing parameters such as weld current, air pressure, cooling, and electrode condition to achieve quality welds.
- Follow preventive maintenance procedures for tooling and electrodes.
- Operate manual milling machines and lathes to refinish resistance welding electrodes.
- Apply Lean Principles (5S, SMED, TPM) to improve department efficiency.
- Adhere to Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safety.
- Read and interpret measurements from product diagrams.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with resistance welding and manual milling machines/lathes is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
- Proficiency in reading prints and intermediate math skills.
- Basic computer skills are a plus.
