The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a full-time teacher at Coyle Ave Elementary School.
About the role
This position is open until filled and accepting applications. Applications are reviewed weekly, and submissions should be made by midnight on Sundays to be considered for the week. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; external candidates can only be placed on Column 4/Step 11.
Responsibilities
- Teach students in accordance with curriculum standards and educational goals
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff
- Participate in professional development and meetings
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential
- Experience teaching elementary education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Master's degree in education or related field
- At least three years of teaching experience
- Knowledge of current educational theories and practices

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The salary range for fully credentialed staff is $60,000 annually - $126,000/annually. For external candidates, the maximum placement is on Column 4/Step 11. Additional pay includes stipends for hard-to-staff special education positions, counselors, social workers, and teacher librarians.
Schedule
The length of the work year is 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week, with a professional work day.
