26-27 AY Temporary Faculty Pool (Lecturer) - Geomatics Engineering

About the role

The department seeks qualified candidate(s) to teach undergraduate courses in Geomatics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2.
• Preparation, delivery, conducting, proctoring, and grading (as appropriate) of lectures, office hours, homework assignments, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams.
• Offer and meet all classes as scheduled throughout the entire semester, in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule of classes (i.e. asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid).

Requirements

• MS in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or in a related area.
• Or, BS in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or related area with required experience.
• California Land Surveyor in Training License (LSIT).
• Knowledge of relevant drafting techniques, standards, tools, software, equipment and practices in the Land Surveying Profession.
• Teaching experience at the university level.

Qualifications

• Required Education: MS in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or in a related area.
• Required Experience: California Land Surveyor in Training License (LSIT).
• Preferred Qualifications: California PLS, knowledge of relevant drafting techniques, standards, tools, software, equipment and practices in the Land Surveying Profession.

Skills

• Knowledge of relevant drafting techniques, standards, tools, software, equipment and practices in the Land Surveying Profession.
• Experience in planning, design, and implementation of construction staking.
• Teaching experience at the university level.

Benefits

Commensurate by qualifications and experience within salary range placement. The salary ranges are established by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = 2358 for Academic Year Lecturers).

Pay

Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per an academic term.

Schedule

Appointees will be required to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. California State University, Fresno does not sponsor Temporary Faculty for work visas.
