258303 (LF) Advanced Practice SLT in Neurodevelopment

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Advanced Practitioner in Neurodevelopment to join the team of SLTs working within the Community Paediatric team in NHS Lothian. This postholder will work to support and develop the delivery of the Neurodevelopmental Pathway across NHS Lothian.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to case management, assessment and evidence-based interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Monitor and report outcomes on this work
• Work flexibly across bases, co-located with Community Paediatric colleagues
• Promote the role of SLT in the neurodevelopmental pathway

Requirements

• Qualified Speech & Language Therapist
• Experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of neurodevelopmental and communication conditions in Health and Education settings
• Familiarity with national developments in Mental Health and the neurodevelopmental pathway
• Registered with HCPC
• PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult) — if not a current member, an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting in post

Schedule

Fixed term until 31 March 2027, up to 0.5 WTE (part-time, salary pro-rata).
