About the role

This appointment will be in the 2028-2029 PET/Molecular Imaging Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in PET/Molecular Imaging for diagnosis and treatment monitoring. The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students. There is the possibility that this position could be extended for one additional year.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a trainee for advanced PET CT/PET MR, participating in reading sessions in PET imaging and being involved in molecular imaging during the first six months.
  • Engage in research time in PET and molecular imaging throughout the fellowship.
  • Optional independent clinical activity in the second six months may include general clinical PET examinations using routine radiopharmaceuticals, dependent upon achieving proficiency in reading these studies as obtained during the first six month training period.
  • Develop an academic career in molecular imaging, learning about research methodology, and investigating new molecular imaging agents.
  • Provide independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as necessary and as assigned by the Department Chair, potentially at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Unitypoint Health–Meriter Hospital, and/or other radiology outpatient or outreach sites and extended coverage areas.

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent terminal degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine (ABR and/or ABNM) by start date.
  • State licensure and WI Medical License by start date.

Compensation

The starting full time salary for the position is $90,508.
