About the role
The Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Department of Translational Research & Cellular Therapeutics at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope. This group is internationally recognized for its pioneering research in diabetes, immunology, stem cell biology, and cellular therapeutics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate novel PET imaging probes or radiopharmaceuticals for diabetes, immunology, and cancer.
- Perform in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate molecular imaging agents.
- Conduct cell culture, molecular biology, and small-animal PET/CT imaging studies as appropriate.
- Analyze experimental and imaging data and prepare manuscripts, grant applications, and scientific presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary investigators to advance translational molecular imaging research.
Requirements
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Molecular Imaging, or related field.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: molecular imaging, radiochemistry, organic synthesis, cell biology, cell culture, molecular biology, immunology, or related biomedical research.
- Experience in PET radiochemistry or molecular imaging and/or preclinical imaging (PET/CT) and animal models is preferred.
- A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
