Positions for the 2027 Summer Internship – Global Wealth Management, Private Family Capital Analyst are located in PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters, Austin, Texas, or New York, New York, with a strong preference for Newport Beach.

Global Wealth Management (GWM)’s mission is to create industry-leading experiences for financial intermediaries and their individual investor clients while contributing to PIMCO’s overall business results. Within GWM, the Private Family Capital (PFC) team manages relationships, business development, and client coverage for single-family offices and other ultra-high-net-worth investors, providing personalized service and tailored investment solutions.

Eligibility

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027)
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Business proficiency in English
  • Interest in alternative investments

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Managers with client-specific projects, team-wide initiatives, and customized due diligence requests from single-family office clients and prospects
  • Assist with the preparation of client materials, briefing materials, and strategic projects supporting the growth of the Private Family Capital business
  • Conduct research on investment strategies, market themes, industry trends, and prospective clients to support client engagement and portfolio discussions

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance demonstrated through relevant coursework, certifications, internships, or professional organization participation
  • Solid foundation in finance and economics, with familiarity in basic investment concepts
  • Able to articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Interest in a client-facing career within finance and delivering investment solutions to sophisticated private investors
  • Personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, adaptable, problem-solver, self-starter, and accountable
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several projects while delivering completed work within expected timelines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Interest in alternative investments
  • Proficiency in Excel is recommended
  • Demonstrated curiosity and experience using emerging technologies and AI tools in work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes

Internship Experience

The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program running from early June to mid-August, with full-duration participation expected.

  • Week 1 includes PIMCO Fundamentals Training to prepare interns for success
  • Participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering
  • Engage in cross-divisional education, networking, and social events
  • Receive guidance and mentorship from supervisors, peer mentors, senior leaders, and team members
  • Gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources to build future-ready skills
  • Receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process

Pay

Hourly Rate: $43.26

Interview Process
