Our 2027 Summer Internship in Global Wealth Management, Alternatives, offers positions in New York, NY, focusing on creating industry-leading experiences for financial intermediaries and their individual investor clients.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global Wealth Management (GWM) Alternatives Group in educating, servicing, and growing distribution of PIMCO’s alternatives solutions across wealth markets.
• Contribute to key strategic initiatives of the GWM Alternatives Group.
• Develop client relationships into strategic partnerships.
• Work on multiple projects, delivering completed work within expected timelines.
• Utilize AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to solve problems and drive better outcomes.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Must be able to begin full-time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028.
• Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027).
• Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university.
• Business proficient in English.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance.
• Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high energy, self-starter, accountable, and humble.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Finance/capital markets coursework (recommended, not required).
• Curiosity and experience in using emerging technologies and AI tools to solve problems.

Internship Experience

• 10-week program from early June to mid-August.
• PIMCO Fundamentals Training during Week 1.
• Participation in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering.
• Cross-divisional education, networking, and social events.
• Mentorship from supervisors, peer mentors, senior leaders, and teams.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools and training.
• Formal mid- and end-of-summer feedback.
