Our 2027 Summer Internship in Global Wealth Management, Alternatives, offers positions in New York, NY, focusing on creating industry-leading experiences for financial intermediaries and their individual investor clients.
Responsibilities
- Support the Global Wealth Management (GWM) Alternatives Group in educating, servicing, and growing distribution of PIMCO’s alternatives solutions across wealth markets.
- Contribute to key strategic initiatives of the GWM Alternatives Group.
- Develop client relationships into strategic partnerships.
- Work on multiple projects, delivering completed work within expected timelines.
- Utilize AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to solve problems and drive better outcomes.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Must be able to begin full-time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028.
- Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027).
- Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Business proficient in English.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance.
- Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high energy, self-starter, accountable, and humble.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Finance/capital markets coursework (recommended, not required).
- Curiosity and experience in using emerging technologies and AI tools to solve problems.
Internship Experience
- 10-week program from early June to mid-August.
- PIMCO Fundamentals Training during Week 1.
- Participation in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering.
- Cross-divisional education, networking, and social events.
- Mentorship from supervisors, peer mentors, senior leaders, and teams.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools and training.
- Formal mid- and end-of-summer feedback.
