About the role
Positions are located in PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters, Austin, Texas, or New York, NY. Global Wealth Management (GWM)’s mission is to create industry-leading experiences for financial intermediaries and their individual investor clients while driving strong business results for PIMCO. The Private Client Group focuses on servicing high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and financial advisors, providing personalized service and tailored investment solutions. As an analyst, you will support PIMCO’s investment professionals to ensure the highest level of client service.
Responsibilities
- Support Account Managers with client-specific projects, team-wide initiatives, RFPs, and customized due diligence requests.
- Perform research on market trends relevant to client objectives to assist in the analysis and monitoring of client portfolios.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028.
- Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027).
- Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Business proficiency in English.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance, demonstrated through coursework, certifications, internships, or professional/campus organization participation.
- Solid foundation in finance and economics, with familiarity in financial statements and basic investment concepts.
- Ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Interest in developing client relationships into strategic partnerships and pursuing a client-facing career in finance.
- Personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, adaptable, and a problem-solver with a self-starter mindset.
- Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and deliver completed work within expected timelines while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel is recommended.
- Curiosity and experience using emerging technologies and AI tools in work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes.

Internship Experience
- 10-week program running from early June to mid-August, with full-duration participation expected.
- Week 1 includes PIMCO Fundamentals Training to build skills, knowledge, and relationships for success.
- Participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering to support worldwide volunteer efforts.
- Engage in cross-divisional education, networking, and social events.
- Receive guidance and mentorship from your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team throughout the summer.
- Gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources to build future-ready skills.
- Receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process.
Pay
Hourly rate: $43.26. As a PIMCO intern, you’ll receive competitive compensation, along with a transition bonus to help with relocation to one of our office locations.
