About the role

The Global Operations Early Talent program at Wells Fargo offers a 2027 summer internship for talented individuals to gain meaningful work experience and grow their expertise. This program provides exposure across multiple functions and teams within Global Operations, including Wholesale Operations, Shared Services Operations, Consumer Banking and Lending Operations, Payments Operations, Fraud and Claims Management, and Global Operations Strategy and Execution.

The Global Operations Early Talent Program offers a comprehensive pathway to learn and grow, with opportunities to work in diverse areas such as business operations, strategy, execution, and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in formal early talent program and workshop initiatives.
  • Review various assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables.
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of requirements for the supported area.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Take part in a range of team projects, tasks, and activities to expose you to various Wells Fargo businesses, supporting execution of strategic priorities and reporting.
  • Work in various Microsoft products to create communication, gather data, and organize priorities.
  • Develop partnerships, consulting, regulatory focus, risk assessment, data analytics, and other key competencies through classroom and on-the-job training.
  • Engage in experiential learning on fundamentals of financial services.
  • Contribute to process improvement, process enhancement, process mapping, automation, and operational efficiency programs and projects.
  • Partner alongside various Operations teams on daily functions and responsibilities.
  • Take part in non-business-related stretch assignments, i.e., DE&I, employee engagement, community service, etc.
  • Create presentations and visuals to assist with documenting business requirements.
  • Complete assigned projects/tasks and prepare for relevant industry certifications as part of professional development.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following majors: Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Technology, Communication, Accounting, Mathematics, Analytics, Physics, Political Science, Pre-law, Government, Policy and Management, Computer Science, Management and Risk Management or related business field with an expected graduation in December 2027- June 2028.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Data analytics experience in SQL, PowerBI, JIRA, SharePoint, Tableau, and Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and business analysis skills, with a commitment to providing excellent service by identifying operational needs, evaluating business processes, and contributing to solutions that drive meaningful client and business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute with a bias for action by supporting process and project delivery, contributing to day-to-day operations, and driving operational excellence through strong process management and an enterprise mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats, build strong working relationships, foster an inclusive work environment, and actively seek and apply feedback to support collaboration and successful program execution.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and business analysis skills, with a commitment to providing excellent service by identifying operational needs, supporting process improvements, and contributing to solutions that drive meaningful client and business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and sound judgment by applying risk management principles, identifying and escalating operational risks, and supporting well-controlled, compliant operations in a dynamic business environment.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools (such as chat-based assistants and built-in features like Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly.

Pay ranges for the 2027 summer internship program are as follows:

  • Charlotte, NC: $33.66 - $33.66/Hour
  • Des Moines, IA: $33.66 - $33.66/Hour
  • Dallas Metro, TX: $33.66 - $33.66/Hour
  • Minneapolis, MN: $37.02-$37.02/Hour
  • Phoenix Metro, AZ: $33.66 - $33.66/Hour
  • San Antonio, TX: $33.66 - $33.66/Hour

Schedule

The 2027 summer internship program operates on a 40-hour work week with daily working hours based on business need.
