About the role

To provide customer service and enhance the USTA's image by following customer service policies and procedures. Respond to general customer inquiries, invoice questions, and customer complaints by phone, email, and chat in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner. Respond to inquiries by researching and resolving problems related to transactions handled by the Ticket Office. Provide all guests with ticket access info, plan information, and mobile delivery. Skillfully interact with fans of the US Open and USTA Staff to provide a positive experience. Assist Ticket Staff with various projects. Projects may include: Tracking and reporting of ticket sales and/or availability, Shipping, Price checking, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries by researching and resolving problems related to transactions handled by the Ticket Office.
  • Provide all guests with ticket access info, plan information, and mobile delivery.
  • Skillfully interact with fans of the US Open and USTA Staff to provide a positive experience.
  • Aid Ticket Staff with various projects such as tracking and reporting of ticket sales and availability, shipping, price checking, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament (approximately 3 weeks from August 19 through September 13), including nights, weekends, and available to work 12+ hour shifts.
  • Attend mandatory training and orientation dates held in early August.
  • Must have working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor, adhere to the core expectations of our team at all times, and possess the ability to work as part of a team and get along with coworkers.
  • Be able to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment and during stressful situations.
  • Arrive for shift on time, neatly groomed, and in a clean, pressed, well-maintained uniform.
  • Willing and comfortable working part of the daily shift outdoors in various weather conditions in late August/early September.
  • Personable and proactive in assisting all guests with the highest level of customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a ticket office for major sporting event, team or venue.
  • Previous experience working in hospitality, sales or in a call center.
  • Bilingual is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of ZenDesk, Ticketmaster Archtics (or similar ticketing system).

Pay

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $19.00.
