About the role

The Ticketing & Sales Office assists guests with planning their Chautauqua experience, handling services such as gate passes, events, parking, class registration, and youth programs. Operations include in-person and contact center support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed information about services and pricing.
  • Process sales and registrations using multiple software platforms.
  • Compute prices, process cash or credit payments, and provide customers with proper receipts and change.
  • Achieve accurate records of sales transactions and/or refunds in accordance with department procedures.
  • Train in all areas of the Patron Experience department.
  • Keep patron purchases and information confidential.
  • Identify, report, and address any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and well-stocked work area.
  • Respond to emergency situations according to policies and procedures.

The position requires a professional, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Benefits

Chautauqua Institution offers a competitive compensation package starting at $17.00/Hour, with potential for up to $18.50/Hour based on experience. The institution also provides a $500 referral bonus for active employees who refer new hires meeting certain criteria.

Pay

The starting pay for this position is $17.00/Hour, with potential for higher rates based on experience.

Schedule

Seasonal employment may be available earlier (pre-season) and beyond season (post-season) based on business needs and candidate availability. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a total of 30-35 hours per week. Applicants should be available to work these shifts.
