About the Role

Propel Schools is seeking a Head Middle School Track Coach for the 26-27 season starting this spring at the following locations: Propel Braddock Hills Middle School, Propel East, Propel Hazelwood, Propel Montour Middle School, and Propel Homestead.

Qualifications

• Prior high school, middle school, and/or youth track coaching experience
• Preferred: student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level
• Preferred: prior middle school coaching experience
• Preferred: USATF certification
• Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
• High level of personal organization and planning
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
• A commitment to the Propel Habits

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for assembling coaching staff
• Responsibility for supporting the Middle School's track program with the assistant coach, athletic director and other coaching staff

Schedule

The 2026-2027 Middle School Track Season is scheduled to begin in April and conclude in May, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason.

Pay

This position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,750. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
