About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive track and field program for middle school students
- Coach and mentor student-athletes to improve their skills and achieve athletic success
- Encourage and promote sportsmanship and positive character development among athletes
- Maintain a safe and positive coaching environment that supports student learning and growth
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of coaching experience at the middle school level
- Strong knowledge of track and field rules and regulations
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and other school staff
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for practice and meets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field preferred
- Experience with administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and record keeping
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures
Pay
The rate of pay for this position is $2,642.00, in accordance with the EMLF Master Agreement.
Schedule
Hours will be determined based on the needs of the program and may include evenings and weekends.
