About the role
Responsible for creating and executing pastry and bread recipes, ensuring high-quality baked goods are produced in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain recipes for various baked goods and pastries.
- Manage inventory and ensure supplies are replenished as needed.
- Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Train and mentor junior staff members in baking techniques and product knowledge.
Requirements
- Baking degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional baking experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of pastry and bread making techniques.
- Experience with commercial baking equipment.
- Proficiency in using culinary software for recipe management.
