About the role

Responsible for creating and executing pastry and bread recipes, ensuring high-quality baked goods are produced in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain recipes for various baked goods and pastries.
  • Manage inventory and ensure supplies are replenished as needed.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members in baking techniques and product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Baking degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional baking experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of pastry and bread making techniques.
  • Experience with commercial baking equipment.
  • Proficiency in using culinary software for recipe management.
