The Parts Specialist II provides counter service to Rochester Transit employees who need parts/equipment to perform their jobs. The Parts Specialist II will assist with inventory control, data entry in inventory systems, customer service, and may occasionally drive a MANCON vehicle to pick up parts. The Parts Specialist II demonstrates proficiency at sourcing parts, mastery of procedures, and exceptional customer service. The compensation range for this position is $16.00 to $26.78/hourly. Placement within this range will be based on a combination of relevant experience, certifications, and/or demonstrated skills that align with the role requirements. Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following Attention to detailReview, familiarize with and adhere to Policy and Procedures ManualReview, familiarize with and adhere to MANCON’s SOPs and Safety ManualMeet and greet customersReview supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (Signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities)Answer questions regarding availability of partsAsk appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and providedInform customers when requested parts are availableMaintain records of inventory, purchases, sales Data Entry Requirements Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory systemAssist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system Inventory Management Requirements Assist in performing weekly inventory cycle countsAssist in performing counts during wall-to-wall inventories at siteIdentify and evaluate multiple suppliers to source parts at the best price-to-quality ratio.Build and maintain relationships with vendors; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.Ensure timely delivery of parts to avoid operational delays. Driving, Lifting, Reaching, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, Walking Work is mostly performed in storerooms and warehouses which may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions. Work is also performed in vehicles traveling to sites.
