About the role

The Truck Driver Light will address customer needs, pick up and deliver parts for VDOT sites, and assist with inventory control. The position does not require a CDL license. This is an hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service including attention to detail, meeting and greeting customers, reviewing supplied requisition forms for completeness (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities), answering questions about parts availability, asking appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided, informing customers when requested parts are available.
• Operate a forklift.
• Review, familiarize with, and adhere to the Product Group Catalog, Policy and Procedures Manual, MANCON’s SOPs and Safety Manual.
• Parts pick‑up: drive vehicle to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts, provide company documentation to vendors (tax exempt form, credit references), review all invoices at vendor location for pricing and quantity accuracy, return products to MANCON location in a timely fashion.
• Data entry: assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system and assist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system.
• Inventory management: assist in physically receiving vendor orders, performing weekly inventory cycle counts, and performing counts during wall‑to‑wall inventories at the site.
• Other requirements: follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance, provide 24‑hour support at the VDOT location during emergencies, assist with inventory research projects as requested, adhere to required procedures, assist the Store Supervisor as assigned, participate in the SCM continuing training program.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience.
• Obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Delivery Driver experience.
• Auto and/or heavy‑duty truck parts experience.
• Inventory experience.
• P1 or P2 ASE certification.
• Medium work – exerting up to 50 lb of force occasionally, up to 20 lb frequently, and up to 10 lb constantly to move objects; tasks involve driving, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, walking.
• Work performed in storerooms and warehouses that may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions, as well as in vehicles traveling to sites.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $13.00 to $18.51 per hour, with placement based on relevant experience, certifications, and demonstrated skills.
