Responsibilities

• Address customer needs by picking up and delivering parts for VDOT sites.
• Avoid delays by reviewing and completing requisition forms accurately.
• Communicate effectively with customers, answering their questions about part availability.
• Operate a forklift and review relevant manuals and policies.
• Generate and enter invoices for customer requisitions and vendor receiving documents.
• Perform weekly inventory cycle counts and participate in Wall to Wall inventories.
• Provide 24-hour support at the VDOT location during emergencies.
• Assist with inventory research projects and store supervisor tasks.
• Participate in the SCM continuing training program.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience.
• Obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Experience with auto and/or heavy duty truck parts.
• P1 or P2 ASE certification.
• Medium work capacity: lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Work in various environments including storerooms, warehouses, and vehicles.
