About the role
Special Education Instructional Facilitator (SEIF) supporting educators and students at Perkins, Claude Elementary School in North Las Vegas.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional coaching and support to special education teachers and general education teachers serving students with disabilities.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Model evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions for staff.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education policies and procedures.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities related to special education best practices.
- Support data collection, analysis, and use to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes.
- Assist in the coordination of special education services and resources within the school.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, district special education department, and external agencies as needed.
Requirements
- Must possess or be able to acquire by time of appointment a teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education.
- Must be certified in a relevant special education subject area.
- Complete the entire three-year work history in the "Experience and Credentials" section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.
