2026 - 2027 School Year - 4th Grade Teacher

About the role

Watauga Elementary School is seeking a certified 4th grade teacher for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The position is available in Ridgetop, TN, at 1755 Lake Road, Post Office Box 740.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies using district-approved curriculum and materials.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and development.
• Evaluate student progress through various assessments and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance educational programs and meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate records and report on student performance as required by law and district policy.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution.
• Current teaching certification in elementary grades K-5.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.

Qualifications

• Experience with differentiated instruction and technology integration in the classroom.
• Knowledge of state and federal educational standards and policies.
• Passport to Excellence (PTE) certification preferred.

Skills

• Effective classroom management skills.
• Ability to plan and implement lesson plans effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
