2026 - 2027 School Year - 4th Grade Teacher

About the role

Jo Byrns Elementary School is seeking an experienced 4th grade teacher for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be certified in elementary grades K-5 and will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to students in the 4th grade.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive lesson plans and resources
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements

• Current Tennessee teaching certification in elementary grades K-5
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• At least two years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience with differentiated instruction
• Knowledge of current educational technology tools
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff

Pay

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with a typical school day from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
