About the role

The Special Education Generalist Self-Contained position at DAILEY, JACK ES is responsible for providing academic instruction to students with special needs in a self-contained classroom setting. The teacher will also focus on social/emotional teaching and reinforcement (STAR).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Provide differentiated instruction based on student needs.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• A valid teaching license in Special Education.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience in a special education setting.
• Experience with social/emotional learning strategies.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to manage a diverse classroom and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Knowledge of current special education best practices and standards.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually.

Schedule
