About the role

The Resource Room teacher will provide specialized instruction to students with special needs in a self-contained classroom setting. The position requires a strong commitment to differentiated instruction and collaboration with other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction based on student needs
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching license in Special Education
• At least two years of teaching experience in a special education setting
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Ability to manage a diverse classroom and adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Experience with data-driven decision making and assessment tools

• Proficiency in using assistive technology
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

$55,000 - $65,000 annually
