About the role

A special education generalist self-contained teacher is needed to provide instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
• Evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license in Special Education.
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
