Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Autism-KIDS teaching position at Joseph E. Thiriot Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to young children with autism in a self-contained special education setting.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with parents, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student growth.
• Adhere to district and state guidelines for special education services.

Requirements

• Valid Nevada teaching license with an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or Autism.
• Experience working with young children with autism in a self-contained or inclusive setting.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for autism intervention (e.g., ABA, TEACCH, DIRFloortime).
• Ability to maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.

Schedule

Full-time, 9-month school year (2026-2027).
