About the role

A special education generalist in a self-contained classroom setting is needed to provide instruction and support to students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to support student learning.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license in Special Education.
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience.
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of current special education best practices.
