About the role

The Special Education Generalist Self-Contained position at LUNT, ROBERT ES is responsible for providing instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. The role requires a deep understanding of special education principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs and abilities.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to provide a comprehensive educational program for students.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of special education best practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid teaching license in Special Education.
• At least two years of recent, relevant full-time experience working with students with disabilities.
• Experience in a self-contained classroom setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.

• Proficiency in using assistive technology to support student learning.
• Experience with data-driven decision making in education.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
