About the role

The Special Education Generalist Self-contained position at CCSD is responsible for providing instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide differentiated instruction based on student needs.
• Collaborate with other special education staff, general education teachers, and parents to support student learning.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• A teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education.
• Certification in the relevant subject area.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
