2026-2027 Autism Teacher - Long ES

About the role

The Transformation Network is seeking an Autism Teacher to join our team at LONG, WALTER V. ES in LAS VEGAS-LONG, WALTER V. ES. This position will provide specialized instruction and support to students with autism spectrum disorder.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs and state guidelines.
• Provide direct teaching and support to students with autism spectrum disorder.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff to ensure a comprehensive educational program.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other professional development activities.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in special education or related field.
• A valid teaching license in the state of Nevada.
• Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and effective teaching strategies for this population.
• Experience with data collection and analysis.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
