About the role

The Special Education Generalist Self-contained position at The Transformation Network is responsible for providing instruction to students with autism spectrum disorders in a self-contained classroom setting. This role requires a deep understanding of autism and the ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism spectrum disorders.
• Provide direct instruction to students in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff to support student learning and progress.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student IEPs and progress reports.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.
• A current teaching license in special education.
• Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with autism.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of professionals and students.
