About the role
Responsible for providing educational services to students with autism spectrum disorder in a primary school setting. Focus on individualized instruction, behavior support, and collaboration with families and other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct teaching and support to students with autism, including small group and one-on-one sessions.
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust plans accordingly.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay updated on best practices and new research related to autism education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid teaching license in the state of Nevada.
- Experience working with students with autism or related disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Qualifications
