1st Shift Sample Press Operator Assistant

Essential Job Tasks

• Use information supplied in the sample request packet to determine die cut information, number of samples required, type of raw material utilized, and delivery information for shipping.
• Measure depth to within 1/32".
• Back drill simple and moderate molds.
• Use high-speed air drill to vent molds.
• Set up and operate sample press.
• Fabricate handmade assists to allow samples to simulate production parts.
• Make appropriate size sheet from raw material rolls, place in sample press, and operate press to obtain sample.
• Evaluate quality of finished piece.
• Set up a laser using files provided to trim samples to match engineered drawing.
• Hand-cut samples to required size when necessary.
• Bring samples to shipping or UPS with correct shipping information.
• Maintain a clean work area that is organized and free of debris.
• Conduct work to ISO-9000 standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and apply drawings, instructions, etc.

Pay

Compensation range for this position is $18-$21/hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. We are committed to fair and equitable competition practices.
