About the role

Operate and maintain corrugated manufacturing press machines (rotary die cutters, Flexo folder gluers, labelers, and folder gluers). Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments. Feed, catch, and stack corrugated sheets at machine feed and stacking stations. Perform and oversee order setups, including setting heads, mounting print plates and dies, and maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Ensure all orders are completed to specifications, including any special instructions. Serve as a safety champion for your crew. Additional duties may include parts and hand assembly as assigned by managers or supervisors.

Responsibilities

Make ready, operate, and maintain assigned corrugated manufacturing press machines.
Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and determine needed adjustments.
Feed, catch, and stack corrugated sheets at machine feed and stacking stations.
Oversee and perform order setups, including setting heads, mounting print plates and dies, and maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
Ensure all orders are completed to specifications, including following special instructions when applicable.
Act as a safety champion for your crew.
Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include parts and hand assembly.
Comply with all IPS Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols.
Learn and understand machine lineup and all operations of corrugated manufacturing.
Interpret instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Accurately utilize KIWI for setup, run instructions, and production times.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred; Trade School and/or advanced degree a plus.
Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred (corrugated manufacturing experience is a plus).
Ability to solve problems with minimal assistance.
Effective communication with employees, supervisors, and managers.
Basic computer skills, including data entry.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of a tape measure.
Dependability and reliability.
Ability to work in environments that may be hot in summer and cool in winter.
Ability to stand throughout the entire shift and perform moderate to heavy lifting at times.
