1st Shift-General Production Manager-Humboldt, TN

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role or 2+ years of Tyson supervisory experience
• Familiarity with processing floor operations preferred
• HACCP certification and a basic understanding of HACCP principles, with the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification preferred
• Knowledge of fresh meats processing preferred
• Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections using fixed ladders, stairs, etc.
• Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility (temperatures range from 28°–45° Fahrenheit)
• Basic computer skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of management
• Some travel is required as needed
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Manage all production operations at the facility, including production supervisors’ departments and production schedules
• Oversee product rotation and CCP verification schedules
• Lead and oversee the safety committee
• Review team members in supervisory roles and develop improvement plans for any deficient areas
• Demonstrate team leadership, problem-solving, and motivation to take on special projects
