About the role

The Production Supervisor in the Poultry Division ensures high production, quality, and yields while maintaining a safe working environment. This role involves overseeing production processes, line maintenance, staffing, and regulatory compliance. Travel: 1-5 trips per year.

Responsibilities

• Verify daily production orders to meet customer requirements and ensure accurate shipments and inventory management.
• Ensure all positions are filled before production line start-up.
• Oversee Team Member exercises and job rotation for ergonomics.
• Maintain machinery performance to the highest standard.
• Ensure all workstations pass USDA Inspection.
• Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
• Communicate company benefits, compensation policies, and other relevant information to team members.
• Encourage Team Members to build the best team possible.
• Ensure accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding.
• Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling.
• Oversee processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
• Keep records of reworked or returned product.
• Spend 80% of time on the production floor.
• Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred.
• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and commitment to high standards in a fast-paced environment.
