About the Role
Conde Group is seeking a Facilities Manager to join a growing and dynamic team. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, safety, security, and operational efficiency of company facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. This position oversees facility maintenance personnel and external contractors while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. The Facilities Manager develops and implements preventive maintenance programs, manages facility improvement projects, supports manufacturing operations, and ensures a safe, clean, and functional work environment that supports organizational objectives.
Responsibilities

- Lead, select, develop, and manage staff, including performance management, resource allocation, and administrative tasks related to employment.
- Assess staff performance, provide feedback, guidance, and reinforcement, and create individual development plans.
- Oversee daily facility operations, including building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection, and security).
- Manage facility maintenance personnel, contractors, and service providers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-standard work completion.
- Supervise custodial staff, ensuring cleaning standards are met and supplies are ordered and distributed.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate facility repairs, renovations, capital improvement projects, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment.
- Manage the Facilities department’s quality management system and assign training to personnel.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, environmental, building codes, and fire safety standards.
- Support Environmental Health and Safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee facility security systems, access control, surveillance, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Ensure accurate recording, review, and approval of employees’ work hours and leave in the timekeeping system.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, permits, and regulatory agency interactions related to facilities management.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain facility records, maintenance logs, equipment inventories, and regulatory documentation.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring facility systems meet production, quality, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate space planning, office moves, workstation layouts, and facility utilization initiatives.
- Lead facility-related business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency response planning efforts.
- Provide recommendations to leadership regarding facility improvements, capital investments, and long-term infrastructure planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive facilities management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Associate’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (required). Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Facilities Management Professional certification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, security, and fire protection).
- Experience managing facility maintenance programs, contractors, and capital projects (preferred).
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and building codes (required).
- Experience developing and managing budgets (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computerized maintenance management systems (required).
- Experience supporting clean room, laboratory, aerospace, defense, electronics, or medical device manufacturing environments (preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated manufacturing standards (preferred).
- Certified Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (preferred).

Other Requirements
- Availability to respond to facility emergencies and urgent operational issues outside normal business hours.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Travel less than 5%.
