Compensation: Starting at $43/hour (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a School Nurse to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing healthcare services, promoting wellness, and supporting the well-being of students in school settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students with acute or chronic health conditions, including but not limited to medication administration, wound care, catheterization, and tube feeding.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings, monitor vital signs, and assess students' overall health status to identify and address health concerns and emergencies.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans and accommodations for students with special health needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders, nursing protocols, and school policies, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate students, families, and school staff on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic health conditions, providing training and support as needed.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, medication logs, health assessments, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with school counselors, psychologists, and social workers to support students' mental health and emotional well-being as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
- Previous experience working as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of pediatric health conditions and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
