About the Role

E-Therapy is seeking a compassionate, licensed School Nurse dedicated to supporting students' mental health and emotional well-being for the 26/27 school year. This is an onsite position at an Early Learning Center in West Richland, WA.

Position Details

  • Start Date: September 2026 (26/27 school year)
  • Hours: Full-time (30 hours/week)
  • Location: West Richland, WA - Onsite Only
  • Certifications: Must hold a Nursing license in WA state
  • Compensation: Starting at $43/hour (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to students with acute or chronic health conditions, including but not limited to medication administration, wound care, catheterization, and tube feeding.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings, monitor vital signs, and assess students' overall health status to identify and address health concerns and emergencies.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans and accommodations for students with special health needs.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders, nursing protocols, and school policies, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Educate students, families, and school staff on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic health conditions, providing training and support as needed.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, medication logs, health assessments, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with school counselors, psychologists, and social workers to support students' mental health and emotional well-being as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
  • Previous experience working as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing (preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of pediatric health conditions and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
