1:1 School Nurse 2026-2027 School Year

About the Role

Our client is seeking experienced nurses to provide 1:1 care for medically fragile students in NYC schools for the 2026 to 2027 school year. These assignments offer a dependable daytime schedule and the opportunity to support a student’s health, safety, and access to education every day.

• School-based schedule aligned with the academic calendar
• Typically 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• No nights or weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one nursing services to a medically fragile student throughout the school day
• Support students with needs that may include seizure care, diabetes management, G-tube feeding, suctioning, oxygen administration, ventilator support, pulse oximetry, medication administration, and other skilled interventions
• Ride the bus with the student if required by the assignment
• Partner with school personnel, family members, and care teams
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with DOE and NYS requirements

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Pediatric, school-based, home care, or community-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and independent clinical judgment

Pay

$50 to $60+ per hour (1099 Independent Contractor)

Schedule

• Typically 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Aligned with the academic calendar
• No nights or weekends
