School Nurse - 1:1

About the Role

The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students, including routine, special needs, and emergency care. They maintain accurate health records and collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare teams to address students' physical, psychological, social, and safety needs.

This role requires compliance with departmental, school, state, and federal policies and involves participating in educational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, special needs, and emergency healthcare to students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.
• Ensure compliance with departmental, school, state, and federal health policies.
• Participate in educational initiatives related to health and safety.
• Perform transportation duties as needed during school sessions.
• Communicate effectively and work within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (or must be obtained within five years of hire).
• Current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of healthcare experience, preferably in pediatrics or school settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Schedule

Part-time, onsite position working Monday through Friday during school sessions.
