Zajedno za zajednicu: Kampus partnerskih organizacija zajednice
Community Partners Campus is an initiative that will provide a center for several human service-based nonprofits to deliver services more efficiently under one roof. The campus will host 8-12 nonprofits, each with its own space as well as shared areas including community rooms, shared offices, a kitchen/café, and social spaces for clients and staff to connect.
About the Campus
The new building, located at 364 Grand Avenue just north of the Wausau Police Department, is designed to be welcoming, distinctive, and accessible. It is situated close to downtown and on a bus line, making it easy for clients to reach multiple services in one location.
Participating agencies include The Neighbors’ Place, Catholic Charities, and the Wausau Free Clinic, among others. The campus will focus on human services such as food, shelter, clothing, medical care, mental health, and social well-being, allowing clients to access various services in a single visit.
Funding and Support
The project has received significant support from the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, including a $100,000 Community Enhancement Grant and over $600,000 from various Donor Advised Funds. Additional contributions have come from local government, corporations, and individuals who recognize the value of this collaborative effort.
