Part-time extracurricular employees must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
About the Role
Head Girls Soccer Coach at Central Middle School. The position is part-time and contract-based for 2 months, with 2 hours per day.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited program/university (required).
- One of the following certification options:
- Florida Instructional Certification (any subject) (required), or
- Florida Athletic Coaching Certification (Professional 5-Year or Temporary 3-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the Florida Department of Education) or eligibility to apply upon extension of offer (required).
- Two (2) years of documented sport-specific and age-level (secondary) coaching experience (varsity, freshman, or JV).
- College-level coaching may substitute for high school coaching experience.
- Extensive knowledge of soccer at the competition level.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing large groups of students/athletes.
Note: Temporary Athletic Coaching Certificates are not renewable by the State of Florida. To obtain a five-year (Professional) Athletic Coaching Certificate, you must complete sports-specific, sports medicine, and sports theory courses and hold a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
