Youth Pastor: Maranatha Vision Church

About the role

Maranatha Vision Church, located in Livermore, CA, was founded in 2006 with the goal of restoring the New Testament Church. Our main focuses are Prayer, Revival and Mission. We belong to the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and emphasize the balance of the Word and the Holy Spirit. We currently have 600+ members, including 90+ youth. We are seeking a full-time Youth Pastor to work in a team environment toward our goal of making disciples of all people.

Responsibilities

• Train teachers to lead Life Groups (community groups)
• Equip student leaders and mentors to lead student ministry teams
• Lead regular programs for youth ministry including Sunday worship, Friday or weekday meetings, and Bible study
• Lead special programs such as Youth Retreat, Senior Trip, and Youth Mission Trip
• Lead Korean or English weekday evening prayer meeting once a month
• Preside over All Generation Worship Service on Sunday with a 5-minute short message once a month

Qualifications

• Has a genuine heart for youth, to nurture them in the Word of God and in prayer
• Has experience in ministry in a Korean-American or similar context
• Has graduated from or is presently attending a theological seminary
• Fluent English is required; proficiency in Korean is optional
• Sincerely receives and adopts the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Catechisms, and the form of government and discipline of the PCA, as containing the system of doctrine taught in the Holy Scripture
• Eligible for ordination/transfer in the PCA

Salary Package

• Salary and housing allowance commensurate with the cost of living with family in California (based on the market price of Livermore)

• Laptop for work ($600 value every 5 years)
