Youth Development Team Member

About the role

The Colorado Avalanche Youth Hockey Development Department seeks a Youth Development Team Member to assist in all youth hockey initiatives and events. Responsibilities include game night assistance, event execution, and multiple on ice and off ice duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Youth Hockey Development Team in all Youth Hockey initiatives and events when necessary.
• Game night assistance.
• Assist Youth Hockey department with special events such as tournaments, educational initiatives and fundraisers.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Strong youth sports background.
• Skating/hockey experience necessary.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Coaching and Volunteer Hockey experience.
• Able to exhibit good judgement and strong decision-making skills.
• Able to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
• Flexible schedule – Must be able to work days, nights/weekends and holidays as required.
• Must be able to obtain required training certifications including but not limited to First-aid, CPR, and AED, SafeSport, and a Level 1 USA Hocking Coaching Certification.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing environments.

Qualifications

• Must pass National background search.
• Colorado Youth Hockey Community knowledge and/or experience.
